What could you do for five minutes? Then thirty? For the rest of the morning? For the rest of the day?

The human mind in this day and age is programmed like a ferret on a double espresso.

But what we are able to always entertain and focus on — is our own inner apocalypse.

A worry about the future.
A fear about what might happen.
A story we rehearse, over and over, of how it all goes wrong.

You’re in the shower, and suddenly your brain’s like:
“While you’re lathering up — here’s that highlight reel of rejection, failure, and financial ruin.”

And you… watch it.

But what if, instead,
you canceled that thought — just for five minutes?

No permanent eviction. Just a pause.
Just long enough to remember who’s actually running the place.

Yeah, those thoughts are going to try to get back in again.

Like that desperate, toxic ex who swears they’ve changed — but still tries calling you from a blocked number.

But you don’t have to answer.
You don’t have to engage.
You can cancel the invitation and go on with your day.

Because five minutes of peace is proof. Proof that you can choose presence over panic, presence over prediction.

For five minutes, you can ignore it.
For five minutes, you can breathe.
For five minutes, you can be in control.

Five minutes is enough to remind yourself: This moment is real. The fear is imagined.

Because five minutes becomes ten.
Ten becomes thirty.
Thirty becomes peace you didn’t know was available.

And what happens when you create peace in the present moment?

You’re resonating peace. You’re sending a signal to the universe that you are aligned “with all is well.”

And - what if - besides just canceling the old thought, you create a new thought? A radically different thought that paints a picture of you in the circumstances you prefer?

Oooh, now you’re not just resonating “all is well” - you’re resonating “all is even better. Pretty damned good!”

You start sending that signal out and guess what? The signal that comes back will create everything as pretty damned good.

So… start with five minutes.

Five minutes of presence, peace, positive ideation, and energy can rewrite today, tomorrow, next week, next month — even a whole damn lifetime.
